This past Christmas, the Scarborough Bluffs Rotary Club continued its long-standing commitment to supporting vulnerable families in our community by organizing a generous donation of holiday gifts for the residents of Julliette’s Place, a local shelter providing safety and support for women and children escaping violence.

Thanks to the compassion of our members and partners, we were able to deliver a wide range of thoughtful gifts that brought comfort, dignity, and joy to families facing incredibly difficult circumstances. What began as a simple act of giving became something much deeper, a reminder to survivors that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
We were honoured to receive a heartfelt letter of appreciation from Simone Cornelissen, Manager of Community Outreach and Development at Julliette’s Place, who shared how meaningful this support was for their residents. For many families, the holiday season can be a painful time. Our contributions helped transform it into a moment of light, filled with smiles, laughter, and renewed hope.
This initiative reflects the very spirit of Rotary: service above self, compassion in action, and community standing together to uplift those who need it most. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this holiday season brighter for the women and children at Julliette’s Place.
The Scarborough Bluffs Rotary Club remains committed to supporting local shelters and community organizations throughout the year, and we look forward to continuing this important work together.
